Careers (1)

The International Holland Music Sessions aims at offering musical talents opportunities to perform. For many musicians these concert opportunities, along with participating and being prizewinners in international competitions, have been important steps in the building of their careers.

On these pages, we have made a selection of former participants now enjoying musical careers - in some cases internationally acknowledged solo careers, in others positions in leading orchestras. Some former participants are teachers at important music institutes, others have interesting discographies. The word career is synonymous with versatile, as versatile as classical music can be.

We do not pretend to be complete, as this is impossible with our 15-year history. Former participants are invited to send us, by email, their current biographical information and a photograph, preferably with a web link. We will consider adding the information to these web pages. Further details at the bottom of this page.

Below is a list of the names shown in these career pages. Next to each name is the number of the page in this career section where information can be found. You may also click on the name.

Notes:
• In most cases the biographical information included here has been taken from the websites of the former participants. For this reason, TIHMS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or contents of the texts. In addition, we cannot guarantee that the information contained is current.
• Most photographs were taken from the websites referred to. Photographer credits are not included here but can be found in the original websites. In this way we maintain respect for the creators of the original artwork. If you prefer, however, that we remove your photograph(s), please let us know.
• We can not guarantee that web-links always work. This of course is beyond our control. Sometimes websites are removed, or pages have been renamed or reorganized so that links have become dead links.

To send biographical information and photos for the career pages:

• Please do not send photos to TIHMS; instead, send only the web-reference where your photo can be found. In most cases this is your own website, or the website where your information is located. We do not like photos to be sent by E-mail because of possible band-width problems. Only if you are definitely sure that the photo you send is band-width friendly: reasonable in size (no more then, say 200 Kb) and jpeg-compressed, you are allowed to send a photo. In the career pages most photo's are 150 pixels wide.
• If the biographical information is on a website you may refer to that website. Otherwise, please include your biography in the email itself, not in an attachment.
• Mention the website address (URL) so that we can make a link.
• In your biography, as well as in the website, there must be some reference to The (International) Holland Music Sessions. We would like you to mention the year(s) you attended the Academy.
• Please mention in the subject: "Forward to webmaster/info for career pages"
• Send the material to: info@hollandmusicsessions.com
Thank you! We look forward to hearing from you.
