Giorgi Kharadzé Prize winner in Rostropovitch Competition

Cellist Giorgi Kharadzé (Georgia), was Third Prize winner in the 2005 Rostropovitsch Cello Competition out of 211 candidates. He also was a Third Prize winner in the 2nd International Pablo Casals Competition in September 2004.

Giorgi Kharadzé was selected in the TIHMS New Masters on Tour concerts in 2005-2006.

Colleen Lee laureate of Chopin Competition 2005

October 2005: Pianist Colleen Lee (Hong Kong) was awarded sixth price at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw, out of 312 participants.

Recognizing her qualities, TIHMS selected her in 2004 for the New Masters on Tour series. She will play in The Hague on March 26, and in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam on April 2, 2006, as well in concerts in Europe:
March 19: Jöhvi, Estonia
March 21: Tallinn, Estonia
March 22: Vilnius, Lithuania
March 28: Bratislava, Slovakia

Chu-Fang Huang top-prize winner

Chu-Fang Huang, a 23-year-old Chinese pianist who studied at the Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music, was named first-prize winner of the 2005 Cleveland International Piano Competition after the final round of concertos with the Cleveland Orchestra on Saturday at Severance Hall. Chu-Fang attended The Holland Music Sessions in 2003 and was selected for the TIHMS New Masters on Tour concerts.

Latvian violinist Tanja Kaminska, TIHMS participant in 2003, was 3rd prize winner in the 4th Alexander Glazunov International Violin Competition in Paris (April 2005).

Cellist Kenji Nagani, who participated in 2004 wrote us:
"By the grace of the experience of Holland Music Sessions, I got the 1st prize of the International Lutoslawski Cello Competition !! If you are interested, please see the web site of:
www.lutoslawski-cello.art.pl."

The American pianist Tanya Gabrielian, 21 years old, won the Scottish International Piano Competition in Glasgow on Saturday, September 18. 2004. Gabrielian was also winner of the 2003 Aram Khachaturian International Piano Competition. She participated in the International Holland Music Sessions in 1999 and 2000.

On June 12, 2004, pianist Alice Sara Ott won the first prize (the Silvio Bengali Prize) at the Pianello Val Tidone Competition, Italy. Alice Sara joined TIHMS in 2003 and 2004.

Pianist Alexandre Pirozhenko, who participated at TIHMS in 2003, won the first prize in the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, New York, USA (2004).

In November 2003, pianist Adam Golka was named the First Prize winner of the 2nd China Shanghai International Piano Competition. He also received the Concerto Prize, voted by the audience after his performance in the finals of Rachmaninoff’s Third Concerto.

Adam participated in the International Holland Music Sessions Summer Academy in 2003 and 2004, and is a soloist in the New Masters On Tour concerts.
